I used an image-rendering script for AutoIt. The program is limited in that it converts an image into a black-and-white Xerox copy, thereby creating a flat looking picture. I bypassed this shortcoming by using a photoshop filter that allows me to change the image-balance, which would then allow me to create separate layers according to levels. Afterward, I had to simply load layer after layer, selecting the next color and rasterizing in between.
